Hi
as I put in the title yes I am feeling sorry for my-self
as you may or may not know I have been having a few problems with my right foot(that sounds like a film I have seen)!!!
still waiting to see what the doctors are going to do with it
I have not been out for a while (well I only went to the MS meeting on a Monday)
decided to go to my local shopping centre yesterday managed to go into 2 shops and thought I had better go back to the car as I felt a bit wobbley the car was parked in an underground car park
got near my car and had such a fall my shopping went every-where I couldent get up I was in the middle of the road a car was beeping there horn at me
I had to call out to a couple to come and help me get up which they did
got to the car and just sat there for over an hour before I felt I could drive home
went to bed very early last night and dident get up until 12 today I now have the most lovely coloured bruses on my body
so you can see why I am feeling sorry for my-self
hope you all are ok
will talk to you all again soon
take care
Mary L

Oh no, Mary. I'm not surprised you are black and blue - this must have been a huge shock. Please, don't do anything over the weekend - just rest and take it as easy as possible. Hoping and praying you will soon start to feel better.

Oh Mary

My thoughts are with you. It really knocks you for six when you fall. It certainly does me.

How inconsiderate and bad mannered of the driver to hoot his horn at you, he/she could have
come and helped you up.

Have a relaxing weekend and take it carefully.

Love
Marlene xx

Mary, its really horrible when something like that happens, just hoping the bruises improve rapidly and that you are felling a little better now and able to enjoy some of the weekend sunshine.
With many best wishes

Oh Mary, poor you!
You have every right to feel sorry for yourself.
Get lots of rest over the weekend and I hope you feel better soon.

I suppose that means the pole dancing's off for tonight?RollEyes

with this fall it wouldent of been as bad
but there were a few teens walking through the car park shouting look at that drunk
they thought I was drunk I cant get over that it really did up-set me
the driver was a man
dont think I can make the pole dancing gig tonight
I have shown you and Jean what to do
so you two girls will have to try it your-selves (if you go wrong just pretent it is part of the dance)
let me know how it goes
good luck girlsThumpUp

Oh Mary, you poor soul! What a nasty experience - you must be feeling shaky. I`m so soory that ignorant people assumed you were drunk - sometimes I think we have become a very uncaring society. I dread having a fall as someone would have to haul me to my feet.

Hope you feel better soon, and don`t worry about the pole-dancing - we`ll just have to manage without you. Jean is secretly looking forward to showing us all her moves.

Take care,

Kathleen x

What an awful thing to happen - poor you! It's bad enough at the best of times, but when you're feeling unwell as well, it's enough to make anyone cry. No wonder you felt sorry for yourself, I know I would too.

Hope you're feeling better and having a good rest.

Love Lyn

Dear Mary,

You have every right to be upset. Why is it that the first thing people think of when someone falls down is that they are drunk ?! This has happened to me too and sometimes it is more upsetting than the actual fall. But someone DID come to your aid, so not all people are thoughtless!

I do hope you soon feel a little better and that the bruises soon fade. You rest as much as possible because the shock of it all does you no good.

Thinking of you. Take care of yourself.

Love to Sophie and my No. 1 boyfriend BigGrin

sorry to hear of your topple, perhaps a wiser move would have been to book in for a mobility power chair or something- sometimes I have to learn the hard way too!

hope you pick up as the day goes on.

Hi Mary

Sorry to hear of your fall and hope you are feeling less sore today. I think sometimes it's harder to get over the shock of finding yourself on the floor than the bruises themselves! Don't forget to slop on the arnica by the bucket load ... it's wonderful for dispersing bruises Smile

Take care (or perhaps I should say 'more care' RollEyes )

Oh Mary!

What a frightening experience- I am so sorry you fell and have bruises. That must have been so painful in many ways.

Dear Mary,

What a lousey thing to happen. As for the sods who assumed that you were drunk, what goes around comes around as they say. Hope that you are not too bruised and sore. Must be bad if pole dancing is off for tonight. Will e mail you.

Hope you are feeling less sore and shaken Mary. It is a bad enough experience without putting up with being laughed at and harrassed by car horns. Just wanted to say 'thinking of you' and hope this week is a better one XX Ailsa
